Lasik Dry Eye Syndrome Is Curable

If you are considering having lasik eye surgery, you should be aware of a very common problem called dry eyes. Dry eye syndrome can happen before or after lasik eye surgery. Lasik dry eye syndrome occurs when the eyes stop producing enough tears to keep your eyes moist, comfortable and healthy. Tears play a very important part in the health of your eyes.

You should be aware of the symptoms of lasik dry eye syndrome so that if you have it, you can alert your surgeon. Some of the symptoms of lasik dry eye syndrome are stinging and burning, itchiness of the eyes or a sudden intolerance to the elements such as smoke or wind. Despite the fact that the problem was coined 'dry eye syndrome', ironically your eyes will over produce tears and strain your eye's natural drainage.

Dry eye syndrome related to lasik eye surgery should be immediately told to your surgeon to reduce or prevent any other complications from occurring.
